2024 Workshops

The 2024 Istanbul Street Photo Festival workshop program will be held between 2-3-4-5 October 2024. On October 1, the festival will open with a cocktail reception and will end on October 6 with the announcement of the results.

 

All street events will be free of charge for a limited number of people (maximum 10 people) as last year. Likewise, all salon events, presentations, photo readings, and talks will be organized free of charge.

 

Please register only for the workshop you are interested in. Since the quota is very limited, one person can attend at most 1 workshop.

 

If you want to register for more than one workshop, you have to pay a difference fee of 70 dollars.

October 2 – Juan José Reyes Workshop

Topic: Find Your Street Style – (in English)

October 2 – Turgut Coşkun Workshop

Topic: Technique and Form – (in Turkish / English)

About: Following his presentation, dynamic photographer Turgut Coşkun will focus on technique and form in photography, showing participants how to skillfully use basic elements such as light, composition and framing. The workshop will provide practical information on how to develop technical skills and how to use formal elements in photography effectively.

October 3 – David Gibson Workshop

Topic: 4 Street Photography Challenges – (in English)

About: Each of the challenges will be introduced and discussed — the group will gather for each challenge — at roughly 11.30, 13.00, 14.00, and 15.00. At 16.00, the group will meet for a final session to edit photos taken, but more importantly to review older work.

October 3 – Hüseyin Aldırmaz Workshop

Topic: Human and Geometry in Street Photography – (Turkish)

October 4 – Soner Arkan Workshop

Topic: Blending into the Street – (Turkish)

About: Designed for those who want to approach street photography from a natural and non-invasive perspective.
